The Fire Museum of Maryland is the third largest antique fire apparatus museum in the world. Founded in 1971, the Museum contains over 40 pieces of hand-, horse-drawn and motorized apparatus from 1807 to 1958, as well as varieties of memorabilia, uniforms, images, etc. The Museum offers a variety of exhibits, including the Great Baltimore Fire of 1904, Life of a Fireman in the 1870s, and smaller displays on uniforms, badges and fire safety.
