Adult Literacy and Family Literacy Programs
Baltimore Reads mission is to
promote adult and family literacy as tools for personal and economic self‐improvement. BR offers
educational opportunities to adults and out of school youth who need:
Basic foundation skills in reading, writing, math and critical thinking,
Instruction for a high school diploma
Employment readiness skills or
English language acquisition
So that they might:
Become better parents and help their children succeed,
Achieve a GED,
Continue their education and training at the post secondary level,
Enhance their employment, work or advancement opportunities,
Achieve self sufficiency, or
Obtain citizenship.
